1. 1

Sign up (free, no card needed)

Takes about a minute. The moment you sign up, you get your own private email address — think of it as a dedicated inbox whose only job is filing things for you.

  2. 2

Connect your Dropbox, OneDrive, or Box

One click. This is where your files actually end up — TurtleSave doesn't keep a copy of its own, it just puts things exactly where you'd normally drag them yourself.

  3. 3

Send or forward an email to your TurtleSave address

From your phone, your inbox, a client, anyone. Any file attached to that email is what gets filed — you don't install anything or change how you already send email.

  4. 4

It lands in the right folder automatically

Two ways to tell TurtleSave where something goes: type a folder name in the subject line (so TURTLESAVE Clients/Smith files it under Clients/Smith), or set up a default folder for a sender once and never think about it again for anything they send you afterward. Can't tell where something belongs? It's kept safe in a "Fall Back" folder instead of getting lost.

There's also a reverse mode — BCC your TurtleSave address on email you send, and a copy files itself automatically too. Useful for automatically keeping a record of invoices you send out, for example.
